More and more women are questioning what we’ve been taught about power, equality, and our roles in marriage.
And some of us are whispering the unthinkable:
What if patriarchy, in it’s truest essence, is the thing that holds?
Not because it’s trendy.
Not because it’s easy.
But because something deep and ancient is stirring
– beneath the burnout, beyond the “you go girl”, behind the relentless pressure to be everything.
I spent so many years of my early life in marriage feeling burnt out, resentful, angry all the time, and largely blaming “The Patriarchy” (and my husband) for my woes.
About eight years ago, I started questioning feminism…and that questioning finally blossomed into full-blown apostasy.
During the world’s awakening through Rona, I made my exodus from feminism and from the neutered insignificance of Anglicanism (the religion of my recent ancestors and my childhood), to embrace not only of Orthodox Christianity, but “The Patriarchy” itself.
The transformation that our entire family has undergone as a result has been miraculous, but the truth is, I still *really* struggle with being a Good Wife–-I struggle with surrender, obedience, kindness, and generosity towards my husband, and I know the same is true for so many women, even women who, on paper, *want* to.
There are probably even more women who still balk at the very idea of submission, and who automatically interpret it as defeat, indignity, and self-abasement.
If you find yourself in either camp–wanting, deeply, to *learn* how to submit with joyful meekness to your husband…or disgusted by the very prospect (but curious as to why an otherwise intelligent, powerful woman like myself would ever want to do such a thing), then--
Join me for a discussion about:
- Leaving feminism, and why I'm not sorry
- Submission… what it actually means (and what it doesn’t)
- Men, marriage, and why hating them is a dead end
- Power, polarity, and energy dynamics
- And, yes, of course, how I’m terrible at all of this and doing it anyway
This isn’t about performance.
It’s not about pretending to be the perfect wife or religious woman.
It’s not the trend of tradwives, aprons, and baking sourdough in ballgowns.
It’s about virtue – not as a moral checklist, but as a compass home.
